Vibration Assessments

Construction, blasting, rail and structural vibration assessed for human comfort and building protection.

Typical timeframe

2-4 weeks

Coverage

Australia-wide

Who asks for it

Councils, EPA and principal contractors

Overview

Vibration from construction, blasting or passing trains can affect both human comfort and the structural integrity of nearby buildings. We measure and model vibration against the relevant standard, and advise on limits, monitoring and mitigation before and during works.

Who this is for

Developers, principal contractors and mining operators undertaking works with the potential to generate perceptible or damaging vibration nearby.

When it is required

Commonly a condition of development or construction approval near sensitive buildings, and standard practice ahead of blasting or heavy piling works.

Our approach

We set defensible trigger and limit levels before works begin, then monitor through the program so any exceedance is caught, and addressed, early.

What you’ll receive

  • Baseline vibration survey
  • Predictive modelling against the relevant standard
  • Recommended trigger and limit levels
  • Construction-phase monitoring, if required

Talk to us

Send the brief, the drawings, or just the problem — we will come back with a clear, fixed-scope proposal.

Works near sensitive structures?

Send through the scope of works and nearby receivers, we will set out a monitoring and assessment plan.
