Typical timeframe
2-5 weeks
Coverage
Australia-wide
Who asks for it
EPA and local councils
Overview
Industrial sites, manufacturing plants, workshops, processing facilities and waste operations generate noise from dozens of individual sources running at different times, at different levels. An industrial noise assessment identifies each source, measures or models its contribution, and confirms the site as a whole complies with the relevant industrial noise policy.
Who this is for
Manufacturers, processors and industrial operators seeking a new licence, expanding operations, or responding to a compliance notice or neighbour complaint.
When it is required
Required for new industrial development approvals, licence variations, and periodic compliance reporting, and often requested after a complaint from a nearby sensitive receiver.
Our approach
We measure the actual plant on site rather than relying on manufacturer datasheets, because real installations rarely perform exactly to spec. Controls are prioritised by cost-effectiveness, operational changes and maintenance first, engineering treatment only where it is genuinely needed.
What you’ll receive
- Source-by-source noise survey of plant and process
- Modelling against the Noise Policy for Industry
- A compliance report for your regulator
- Prioritised, cost-effective control recommendations
